Happy Chinese New Year

Good Morning all,
I'm back with another card to share with you!
This one is for Chinese New Year!
So to everyone who celebrates,
"Gong Hay Fat Choy!"
I'm hoping it's okay as I normally use traditional red & gold but
I just really wanted to play with these colours this time!

2015 is the Year of the Sheep (or Goat) & I thought this little pair
Even better, you can pick them up for free at the moment!
I used my promarkers to shade them a little, then cut out with a Spellbinders
die then inked with distress ink whilst still in the die.
The sentiment was done on the PC.
The gorgeous papers came my way when a DT friend Sammy, was having a
blog candy giveaway, so I'm sorry I can't tell you where they are from!

I finished off the card with three buttons from my stash.
I didn't have time to decorate the inside as I wanted to catch the light,
but I have done so now!
Thanks for popping by, I hope you like my little creation!

Love Hearts

I have another card to share with you!
This is the Valentine card I made for my husband. I couldn't take a photo
of it before as all my photo's appear on his phone too!

I wanted to keep it fairly clean & simple but a little bit in your face too!
It's an A6 base with an added a panel that was embossed using a piece of sequin waste,
then inked with a liquid chalk inkpad. The sentiment was printed directly
on to the panel using my PC. Next I cut two hearts from some red & white dotty paper
using a sizzix embosslit. I love how that baby cuts & embossed at the same time!
I covered the hearts in clear ink & heat embossed with clear embossing powder!
I wish at this point that I had some UTEE but I don't, so,
I repeat the process until I get the result I want!

You can see the high gloss here!
I added some red & white twine & tied a little bow just to finish it off!
I hope you like my little card which features another of my favourite techniques!
If you have a favourite technique, why not make a project using it & share it with us in the latest challenge over at The Crafting Cafe!
